To update your Arlo manually: Launch the Arlo app or log in to my.arlo.com. Tap or click Settings > My Devices. Select the camera that you want to update. Tap or click Device Info > Firmware > Update. Warning: Do not open the battery door or remove the battery while an Arlo camera is updating and installing firmware. Wait for the camera firmware update to complete.
To update your Arlo or Arlo Pro firmware manually: Launch the Arlo app or log in to arlo.netgear.com. Tap or click Settings > My Devices and select your Arlo or Arlo Pro base station. Tap or click Device Info > Firmware > Update.
Setting new arlo system for a relative, got to firmware update needed and it failed several times. Found out the internet speed was too slow to manage it. Put it on my network hoping to do the update, but no prompt for update and worked ok. Back to relative and update still needed.

· You may be able to update using Settings, My Devices, your device, Device Info and click on the firmware section but I haven't had much luck with that.
